Description
More than 300 pieces of stainless steel assemble into a mechanical butterfly with purple wings, exposed workings, and considerably more machinery than the average insect.
Switch it on and the internal gears set its wings into a slow flapping motion while the built-in music box plays a melody from the base. The finished specimen stands 22 cm tall on a black acrylic base and can run for up to 10 hours on its rechargeable battery.
Despite appearances, this specimen is relatively cooperative: assembly is rated low difficulty and takes approximately one hour.
