Bluewing — Mechanical Butterfly Kit

Description

More than 300 pieces of metal come together to build a blue mechanical butterfly that refuses to sit politely on the shelf. Switch it on and its internal transmission sets the wings into a flapping motion while the built-in music box provides its own soundtrack.

The butterfly sits above a polished black acrylic base, leaving the gears and mechanical workings on display. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 10 hours of operation and charges by USB-C. Assembly tools are included for the considerably more involved process of turning 300+ loose pieces into one functioning mechanical insect.
